Shenandoah

Sunday I went to see the fall colors in Shenandoah National Park with Laurel, Lauren, and Lacey (we're going to form a gang - the "L" gang). It wasn't quite peak turning time for the leaves, and it was a little hazy, but we still had fun. I took a TON of pictures, so it was hard deciding on just a few to post...

The drive up there was beautiful. It was so nice to get away from the city.

Lauren was trying to be Tarzan.

Lacey was very exciting about the grasshoppers she brought for lunch.

On the way back, we stopped at Hartland Orchard, the cutest little farm I have ever seen (no offense to any farmers back in Turlock). The plan was to pick apples, but their trees were completely picked bare. Luckily they had other goodies as well.We got caramel apples, and man were they good!! They made them fresh to order; the caramel was still warm when you bit into it. I plan on making a special trip back there next year just for the caramel apples.

I also bought some apple cider and honey (with the comb still in it).

I miss seeing cows on a regular basis. They're so cute!
