Last game

Yesterday was the Nats' last game of the season, and Frank Robinson's last game as manager. The performance on the field was very lackluster, but it was an emotional day otherwise.

The crowd was on its feet in anticip
ation of the pre-game ceremonies. You can't really tell in this picture, but there were signs and banners for Frank all over the stadium.
A nice video-montage tribute was given. (I just realized there are people sitting behind the screen. Seriously, people, there are a ton of empty seats everywhere.)

Frank gives his farewell speech at home plate. I got a little verklemped.

The players of both teams came out of the dugout to pay tribute. Even the guys from the bullpen came running out.

Possibly the last time we'll see Soriano in the outfield of RFK. *Tear!*
Farewell, boys of summer! Till next year...you will be missed.
