It's time for my annual pilgrimage down to the Tidal Basin to see the cherry blossoms! I always complain about the hoardes of people, but I'm sure they all feel like I do - it's a rite of spring and I have to do it every year. There's something so special and so quintessentially Washington about it. And after all these years of photographing the cherry blossoms, I'm finding it increasingly challenging to take creative photos. I hope you all like them. Let's start the show...
As I learned at the Arboretum a few weeks ago, this is a pink magnolia! I think it's my new favorite tree.
I really like this bent tree. Unfortunately that lady wouldn't move out of the way so I could take a good picture of it. The nerve!
