Last week, as President Ford's funeral motorcade drove from Andrews Air Force Base to the Capitol, it was schedule to drive through Alexandria. Apparently, Ford was once a long-time resident of my fair city. I had heard that it was supposed to be driving through, but I didn't know exactly when. So last Saturday evening I left my house to do some shopping in Old Town and noticed a ton of people lined up on Washington Street with cops everywhere. I figured the event must be imminent, so I didn't go back to my house to fetch my camera. (As it turned out, I had plenty of time.) All I had was my trusty camera phone, and with it I got a picture of the passing hearse.
