Flowers...and more snow

This afternoon, Laurel and I went to the annual orchid exhibit at the National Museum of Natural History. I had no idea there were so many different types of orchids! We didn't spend as much time as I would have liked because it was super crowded (stupid tourists), but it was nice to actually get out and do something.
There's an orchid called Green Lantern! Hehe.

We then went next door to the National Gallery of Art to see a few special exhibits. I think my favorite room of any museum is the main atrium of the National Gallery. They have a ton of fresh flowers that are changed regularly, and it always smells wonderful.

We walked across the Mall to the National Air and Space Museum to see the Treasures of American History exhibit, and the kids were just having field day in the snow/ice.

Then, as I was walking home, it started snowing (AGAIN!). So I decided to play with the black and white feature on my camera. Not bad, eh?
