One of the things I love about New York is the mix of old and new architecture.
We visited the flagship Tiffany & Co., and I was very tempted to buy something (I did not).
Our main objective in NYC was to see My Fair Lady at Lincoln Center, starring the wonderful Harry Haddon-Paton (a.k.a. Bertie Pelham from Downton Abbey).
And this was our view upon leaving Lincoln Center. So lovely!
The next morning we went to Fraunces Tavern, a Revolutionary War-era site where the Sons of Liberty used to meet. It was quite fascinating (although I might be a little biased).
The "Long Room," where George Washington said goodbye to his troops.
The journal of Benjamin Tallmadge, who was featured in the riveting tv drama Turn.
A lock of George Washington's hair.
And a few photos from our wanderings around the city....
A view of the Brooklyn Bridge.
The Chrysler Building, with Grand Central Station in the foreground.
Central Park....always a nice note to end on.
