Pictures of the week

Who am I kidding? I can't post just one picture. This week's lesson was on composition.

I was lining up this shot, intending to take a picture of the church through the arch, when this girl walked into the frame. I kind of like it better this way; it gives the picture some balance.

This was taken at The Chart House, a restaurant down by the marina. I was really struck by the bright blue umbrellas against the clouds and the blue sky.
