Mmm...beef

I recently met someone who is also a central California transplant, like me. We got to talking about the idiosyncrasies of the central valley, and he says "you know, no one out here has ever heard of tri-tip!" I paused for a moment, and then I realized that I have never seen it anywhere outside of the valley.
